Fund Raisin' Star Wars Action!

All right guys, I know that 'Fund Raising' are 2 of the most hated words in the English language, so I chose 2 better ones to smooth it over 'Star Wars.' We will be watching Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope on Wednesday, January 9th at 7:00 PM while doing the fund raiser project.

This is really important for Quark especially because at the moment the current funding for it is $0.00. With this we'll have some money to use for activities and events (to pay for things like food). What we will be doing is making handwritten copies of letters expressing appreciation to people that have donated to BYU. These letters have already been written (typed) by members of Quark, but we need to handwrite 10 copies of each one. We have 6 letters to make copies of meaning we need to make 60 total copies. Each letter written gets $5 for Quark meaning we can get $300 from this activity. So we need people to come and write some letters while watching the timeless classic of Star Wars: A New Hope.

When: Weds. January 9th, 7:00 PM (First week of winter semester. Note: There will be no film forum that week)

Film Forum Schedule is up.

Edit: The poll is over and Cats & Dogs stays in. However, after some careful consideration, I have decided to make a small change to the schedule.

 

Hey everyone. The schedule for both the spring and summer film forums are up! (Both the regular film forums and the new MST3K forums.) There's a thread up, go check it out, comment if you feel like it.

Just an FYI: The MST3k Forums will average about every 5 to 6 weeks. I'd like to be able to do them more often, but I just can't promise I'd be able to, I'm sorry. It may be that new ones get schedules as I find "good" movies for it and am able to dedicate the time to it, so please keep watch for any announcements.

My friends, it's that time again, time to raise funds to the sounds of blaster and clashing lightsabers. This time we will be watching Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back while writing the letters. Once again it will be hosted by the ever gracious Baggins at his apartment on Saturday, the 29th at 6 PM.

What we will be doing is making handwritten copies of letters expressing appreciation to people that work for BYU. These letters have already been written (typed) by members of Quark, but we need to handwrite 10 copies of each one. We have 6 letters to make copies of meaning we need to make 60 total copies. Each letter written gets $5 for Quark meaning we can get $300 from this activity. Also it is nice that we don't have to worry about who they are addressed to this time as all will be to 'BYU Employee.' Some come and help Quark out.
