Smash Night at Splice's Place

Okay, I'm kind of coming up with this at the spur of the moment. We're going to have a Smash night on Friday night, August 8th. Now, I'm trying to get it set up where we play different style types if we want to. If not, we can just play normal.

If we want to try the alternative game modes, I need someone with a D4 and a D10 to bring them to the night. The four game modes will be the following:
Slay the Dragon
Everyone Random
Uncertain Teams
Clone Throwdow

My address is 665 North 500 East #15. We'll start at 6:30 and go till whenever we want. Bring something to at or drink if you want to partake in the goodness hat will be there. Let me know if you're coming.

Lan Party, Saturday at 1PM

Those of you who've been watching the thread know this is happening, but I figured I'd put up a news post when everything was worked out for certain. The lan party will start at 1 PM on Saturday. We'll be doing this at Coolone's place, he's got a ton of room and it should be a nice setup. I've posted the address in the comments.

Games that will be played are Dawn of War and Halflife Deathmatch.

Please post a comment here if you're planning on coming, so we can get a final count of expected attendees.

Magic the Gathering Night: July 26

Okay, we have an official place and time. In the WSC 2142 (near the ballroom for those who don't know where that is) we will start at 5pm and go until 9. That's a Saturday. Right now we're trying to get decks for those who don't have any here. We're trying to find out how many we need. If you are coming, please respond to this letting us know if you're coming, if you have a deck of your own, and if you can bring extra decks. Respond ASAP!

Also, do we want food or soda there? If so, everyone needs to bring something to eat or drink.

Magic: The Gathering Night!

All right everyone, there is a thread up in the Games forum under Card Games about how we are going to have a Magic: The Gathering Night. It's going to be a style where everyone sits in a circle and you can only attack the people immediately to your left or your right. Sounds like a lot of fun to me and I've never even played MtG.

So there is the deal, go to the thread and vote for which night works best for you. It's going to be either July 25th (Friday) or July 26th (Saturday). We're also asking if there is anyone out there who could get their hands on extra decks for people who can't get ahold of a deck around here and just want to borrow one for the Night.  Check the thread for any questions.

 Later,

Jordan "Splice" Davis

Free RPG Day

This Saturday's free RPG day. There will be activities and free stuff down at Dragon's Keep, RPG Demos, and rumors of some type of tournament? Bug Splice for more info, I don't have any.

Marshmallow Wars gun creation

We're getting together in the Fishbowl at Benson at 6:30 on Wednesday to make our Marshmallow guns. Everyone who wants to make a gun should bring $2 for pistols and $3 for assault rifles. We're hoping to make enough to play on Saturday at the BBQ. We'll have a lot of fun with these in future events as well. We'll be leaving by 6:45 to go purchase the pipe and going back to the Benson to make the guns. See you all there.

Addendum:

Making the rifles went rather well but we need to meet again to finish up work on them. All we really need is possibly get
some more pipe cutters and make sure our drills have charge in the batteries. Lets meet again at the fishbowl on Friday
at 6:30 to finish up.

Today 6:30 @ Fishbowl, Benson Building

Iron Gamer Tournament Postponed

We are very sorry, but due to some extenuating circumstances, Iron Gamer must be postponed again. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, we also are happy for the convenience for those who would have found Friday night to be inconvenient. Anyway, watch the boards, we will let you know when this thing finally happens. :-/

SUPER SMASH BROTHERS: BRAWL TOURNAMENT

Everyone, here's the story:

95% chance of this happening TONIGHT (March 7), at MY PLACE. The game will likely get here this evening, but there's no certainty of that. We will be using PDay's Wii, as mine is currently in Salt Lake and I haven't had a chance to get it back. Because of this, along with the uncertainty of the arrival time AND the fact that PDay is working tonight, likelihood will be TOMORROW NIGHT at 6:00, at my place. (Check the thread for the address.)

This will be a single elimination, Free-for-all tournament, with levels set on random, nothing unlocked at the beginning. I still haven't decided whether unlockable characters will become available as they are unlocked or of everyone will be held to the originally available
characters. This will be determined before tomorrow night, however.

I will send an e-mail out to all those who e-mailed smashleague@gmail.com with basically the information I've just listed her. Special Thanks to PDay for helping me to set up the tournament roster.

Bring food if you want it. And drinks. Drinks are good.

Edit: 100% It's here. Heaven help me, I hope I can last until tomorrow...

We will likely have an Iron Gamer tournament in March. What theme should this tournament be? (Game suggestions in comments)
