Propaganda has been posted! Go to the individual propaganda pages to ask questions of the various candidates. Try to stay on topic. If you are interested in still running for a position, just PM Splice. You can declare your intent to run until I go to sleep on Friday, March 26th.
Appointed Positions: Secretary, Treasurer, Webmaster, and Art VP
Well, as the semester winds down we need to start thinking about the next year. That means it's time for Officer Election. For those of you who are newer to Quark, the way elections work is at the Closing Social (April 2nd will be the date of the Closing Social) we will cast ballots for those who run for the various positions. If you want to run for an officer position, please PM me (me being Splice) and let me know what position you plan to run for.
Being an officer is a very rewarding experience! As you serve you learn new skills and you have an absolute blast as you do it. Ever wished Quark was hosting a certain activity or have you ever wanted to help plan activities? Here is your chance! Every year we need new leadership because of the natural overturn of the previous year's officers. We want NEED new ideas to keep the club going! Quark doesn't grow by doing the same things year after year. We expand because we get an influx of new officers and new ideas every year. Some officers have been members of the club for a few years before they've been elected (me) while others were only a member for a few months (previous President and current webmaster, Jerle is an example). It doesn't matter how long you've been in the club as long as you're willing to put in some work to keep Quark at peak epicness!
If you want more information on the duties of the various officerships read the club charter (link pending) or just ask current or former officers for more information. As a side note, there are some officer positions that are not voted on, but selected by the President. If you have an interest in being one of the appointed positions, you need only let the various Presidential candidates know that you'd be interested in being an appointed officer.
